Cristy Maria Montoya is the Founder and Principal of Factory of Spaces, a design studio rooted in the belief that environments should evoke, connect, and transform. From a young age, her interest in interior objects, textiles, and painting furniture sparked a lifelong passion for design grounded in creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling.

She earned her Bachelors Degree in Interior Design and began her career in Las Vegas, Nevada, working in high-end custom furniture. Collaborating with showrooms and manufacturers gave her a strong foundation in furniture, decor, and the technical details behind how spaces are experienced. Living in a hospitality-driven city also shaped her appreciation for quality, customer experience, and intentional design.

Cristy later moved to New York City to expand her creative perspective, working alongside luxury design studios on luxe residential and celebrity homes. She then relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she focused on building Factory of Spaces through determination, craftsmanship, and relationships with leading industry vendors and artisans.

Now based in Los Angeles, California, Cristy is entering a new chapter focused on evolving Factory of Spaces into a globally recognized creative design identity. Her work blends refined modernism, materiality, and human connection to create spaces that feel elevated, soulful, and deeply intentional.
